Como parte das comemorações dos 450 anos de Niterói, as turmas do Bilíngue Lower participaram da atividade Clean Up Day, que fomenta o cuidado com o meio ambiente. Nesta dinâmica, os alunos foram até a praia de São Francisco para realizar uma limpeza do local, a aprendendo a importância de preservar a natureza e o belo cenário da nossa cidade. Envolvidos em uma atividade sustentável e repleta de responsabilidade social, os alunos ajudaram a manter as praias limpas para todos.
A professora Luma Espindola, da turma New York, explica sobre a atividade “We came to the beach today to celebrate Niterói Anniversary. Students from the 1st to the 4th grade picked up all the trash they found, such as plastic bottles, glasses and all kinds of stuff. Before going to the beach we talked about sustainability and the importance of taking care of Nature, we also discussed to find solutions to tackle mismanaged waste. It was really nice to put into practice everything we´ve been studying lately”.
